Kacie Engum

Wailuku

Kacie discovered her love for yoga in the middle of winter in Montana in a heated class. She is drawn to the more therapeutic side of yoga. She is currently in massage therapy school to increase her knowledge of the human body and guide others to bring body, mind and spirit into harmony. The energy of Self love and compassion is a powerful force that ripples out to everyone you come in contact with and can change the world. She is dedicated to holding space for people on multiple levels and is honored to be a part of the Afterglow community.

Christy Chadwick

Wailuku, Kihei

Christy grew up in the cowboy state of Wyoming. Mind and body connection was not apparent to her until a car accident in 2010 where she began a journey of healing and discovering all that her body was capable of. She began practicing yoga one-on-one with an Anusara yoga instructor, in classes, and studying the body through reflexology and reiki.

During graduate school she completed her 200-hr yoga training in St. Louis in 2015. Yoga has become her passion and a way for her to connect with others. Her class style reflects her feelings of looking inward, going deep, and finding the alignment that works for each individual body. In the summer of 2016, after graduating from graduate school, she moved to Maui to be a teacher of the deaf and further her love for yoga.

Jamie Kuttenkuler

Wailuku, Kihei, Lahaina

Jamie started yoga to complement training for half marathons and other running events while living in Denver, CO.  She found so many benefits from yoga that she quickly replaced running with a daily yoga practice. Jamie quickly immersed herself in various yoga and fitness teacher trainings and now adores teaching vinyasa, prenatal, and hot yoga as well as group fitness and barre.

Jamie’s classes are alignment-focused and fun. She enjoys creating unique playlists to complement her classes. She loves connecting with her students and encouraging them to breathe through a difficult pose or smile when progressing to heavier weights or a more challenging version of a fitness sequence.

Jamie lives in upper Paia with her husband and mini-schnauzer Madchen.  When she’s not practicing yoga, you can find her reading, playing her bass guitar, or on the beach. You can find more about Jamie on her website at www.jamiekuttenkuleryoga.com.

Sloan Lee

Wailuku, Kihei

What’s up yogis?! Sloan teaches Shakti Rize at Afterglow Yoga and is absolutely in love with this class and getting the opportunity to be an instructor.   Sloan fosters an environment of FUN while encouraging students to practice self-love, staying present and non-judgement.  She also breaks it down to some pretty serious booty music and breaks a sweat with some endurance and strength building work-out exercises!

Sloan loves spending time with her French bulldog- Kevin, swimming in the ocean, skiing, indoor rhythm ride cycling, and baking! Her career has been in nursing as an intensive care nurse and is so stoked to serve the community of Maui in this way.

Anna Bennett

Lahaina

Anna’s first yoga experience was practicing lion’s breath with her mom when she was 5 years old.  This was when the seed of yoga was planted. She has been an avid practitioner for the last 20 years and is profoundly grateful for the positive impact that yoga has on her life.  In 2010, she completed her first 200 hour teacher training in San Francisco with Stephanie Snyder and Elise Lorimer in preparation to write her master’s thesis on incorporating yoga into social work practice.  As a recent graduate of Afterglow’s teacher training program, she is excited to embark on a new adventure of teaching and to share her deep love of yoga. Anna is also a proud mama & psychotherapist.
